Hire4Service is a local marketplace where skilled service providers connect with the people who need them, and where neighbours buy and sell locally. Anyone can register, pick a category, and have an ad live in a few minutes.

Ads are paid for with ad credits, which cost $1.99 each. One credit publishes one ad. Buy ten or more in a single purchase and you get two extra credits free. You can also earn credits without paying: every account gets a free daily spin on the wheel, and sharing another member's listing earns you a credit the first time you share it.

Browsing is built around where you are. Buyers search by keyword and city and can narrow results to a radius around them, so the listings they see are ones they can actually use. Every ad carries photos, a description, a price, and a way to get in touch — including direct messaging, so a customer can start a conversation straight from the listing.

Listings are ordered so that boosted ads appear first. If you want to keep your ad at the front of its category rather than drifting onto later pages as new ads arrive, you can boost it for $199 per month. A boost runs for one month from the day it is bought; buying again while one is still running extends it rather than restarting it, and it ends on its own unless you renew.

You stay in control of everything you post. My Posts is where you edit an ad, add or replace photos, pause it, boost it, or delete it, and it shows which page of the category each of your ads is currently landing on.
